The PCE-CT 27FN thickness gauge is used to determine the thickness of coatings on metallic materials. The thickness gauge measures on ferrous and non-ferrous metals. This allows you to check the thickness of lacquers, paints, plastics, and similar materials. The thickness gauge is mainly used for inspections. Therefore, it is often used in quality control and manufacturing.

The thickness gauge is particularly suitable for the aforementioned applications, as it uses a non-destructive measurement method, thus allowing the tested parts to continue being used. In addition to its use in quality control, it is also commonly used in incoming material inspection.

The thickness gauge has been designed for measurements of non-magnetic coatings, such as lacquers, plastics, chrome, copper, zinc, enamel, etc. But it is also ideal for measurements of insulators, such as lacquers, plastics, enamels, paper, glass, rubber, etc. on copper, aluminum, brass, stainless steel, and anodic films on aluminum.
