The handheld optical tachometer is used for non-contact measurements. The digital optical tachometer PCE-DT 63 is mainly used in the maintenance of various machines. These include conveyor belts, motors, and timing belts. It is important that the installations operate at the correct number of revolutions, which contributes to optimal performance. On the other hand, it is important to check that the revolutions of the machines are not too high, which will prevent damage or decrease the quality of the products.

Measurement with the optical tachometer is done non-contact using a laser and a reflective tape. For this, you must stick the reflective tape, which is included in the shipment, onto the object. This allows the optical tachometer to detect even low values, which will be displayed on the LCD screen. For high accuracy, measurement ranges are automatically adjusted. The PCE-DT 63 optical tachometer indicates the value in rpm. Additionally, it can memorize values by pressing a key. Once the device is turned on, the tachometer memorizes the MIN and MAX values.

During measurement, the tachometer must be positioned at a distance greater than 50 mm and less than 250 mm. The tachometer is shipped complete and includes batteries.
