The PT-UTGM material thickness gauge is a handheld ultrasonic device for determining the thickness of walls and materials. The material thickness gauge is available in two versions: "Standard" and "Advanced". The "Advanced" version additionally features a color graphic display, a memory of 100,000 values (the "Standard" version only has 250 values), Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity. The PT-UTGM thickness gauge comes with a 5 MHz sensor that covers almost 95% of all possible uses. Therefore, it is not necessary to use other heads with the material thickness gauge. The PT-UTGM thickness gauge, with its adjustable ultrasonic speed, is suitable for measuring steel, iron, aluminum, titanium, homogeneous plastics, ceramics, glass, and many other types of materials. The PT-UTGM thickness gauge offers the option of accurate thickness measurement through surface coatings, automatically discounting it from the total thickness. The thickness gauge allows for sensitivity adjustment, enabling measurement of the thickness of plastic-coated steel pipe walls. Ultrasound reflects weakly at the boundary layer between plastic and steel. Measurement errors can occur, which can be avoided with the help of sensitivity adjustment to measure the reflection from the lower steel boundary layer (for contour). Measurement values can be saved in the device, and if desired, with the help of the software package, data can be transmitted to a PC for analysis. Data can be transmitted to other programs such as MS Excel. Another great advantage of this material thickness gauge is the menu description in multiple languages, allowing you to choose your desired language, such as Spanish, German, English, French, or Italian.
