The FOM-320 hygiene tester is a handheld device that allows you to determine the quality of different types of oil. This hygiene tester is successfully used by health inspectors. The measurement with the hygiene tester is performed directly in hot oil, for example, by inserting the probe into the fryer. It indicates the oil temperature in ºC and the oil quality in percentage PC (Polar Compounds = polar parts) in a few seconds. The PC value is a measure that indicates the degree of thermal and oxidative deterioration of frying oil. Using a light-emitting diode, the user will know when to change the oil. According to the recommendations of the DGF (German Society for Fat Science), 24% of polar compounds is the limit value to consider the oil acceptable to taste. National regulations concerning PC limit values must also be taken into account. Since oils do not behave the same way, it is possible to store different calibrations in the FOM-320 hygiene tester. For this purpose, it has 4 fixed memory spaces (semi-liquid, liquid, solid) and 6 variable spaces available. The FOM-320 hygiene tester is factory calibrated, allowing optimal use when checking common oils.
