This installation tester determines the trip current and trip time of RCDs. The selection of different test currents allows for very flexible use of this installation tester. In any electrical installation, there are RCDs that cut off the power supply when a leakage current is detected. The installation tester allows a leakage current to pass through and determines with which leakage current the RCD reacts. Additionally, the installation tester measures the reaction time. These two parameters, namely the trip current and trip time, are the relevant safety values of an RCD. The operation of the installation tester is very simple. Besides the maximum test current, you can adjust the type of RCD (normal or selective) and whether it should measure the trip current and trip time. You can also select whether the test current should start with a positive or negative half-wave. Once you have set all these parameters, you can start the measurement by pressing a single key. The color of the installation tester's display allows for a quick assessment of whether the system is good or bad. On the large LCD screen, you can measure the measurement value. The installation tester emits an acoustic signal when the input voltage is too high, when the ground connection is missing, or when the ground potential exceeds 50 V.
