The digital refractometer is a handheld, waterproof meter for determining sugar content with a measurement range of 0 ... 85 % brix. The large LCD screen of the digital refractometer displays the measurement result and the temperature of the material to be measured. Depending on the type of refractometer, the measurement of sucrose, fructose, glucose, or inverted sugar is performed quickly and easily with just two drops of the liquid sample. The stainless steel funnel-shaped ring protects the glass prism from mechanical damage and facilitates the application of the liquid sample. The digital refractometer is used from the collection and classification of fruit to inspection and quality control. Other areas of use include ingredient control in the food industry under compliance with various regulations. The internal light source allows for measurements in artificial light conditions without measurement errors.
