It has been built for measuring non-magnetic layers such as lacquers, plastics, chrome, copper, zinc, enamel, etc. on steel and iron, and all insulating layers like lacquers, plastics, enamels, paper, glass, rubber, etc. on copper, aluminum, brass, stainless steel, and anodized aluminum.
