For thermometer calibration by the comparison method, a thermometer of adequate resolution and previously calibrated with reference to the 1990 International Temperature Scale, EIT-90, is used as a standard. It is recommended to use a digital thermometer with a platinum resistance probe of the PT 100 type, accompanied by a calibration certificate issued by an INACAL laboratory or an International Laboratory, NIST, CENAM, OIML, BIPM ILAC, SIM, CEM, ENAC.
